Link your external resources like support articles or content to your Whatfix widgets. Links can be included in Self Help, Task List, and Beacons to provide contextual help about your application.
The following GIF is an example of how a link appears within Self Help when you add it to a Self Help segment. For more information, see Add a Link to Self Help.
Create Link content on the Dashboard or by using Whatfix Studio.
Whatfix recommends using the Studio to create static content as Auto tags are added to the content only when content is created using Whatfix Studio. Auto tags help in segmenting content so that they appear contextually. If static content is created using the Dashboard, Content creators have to add these tags manually so they appear contextually in widgets like Self Help and Task List.
Use the following steps to create Link content using Whatfix Studio:
- Log in to your application, and then launch the Whatfix Studio.
-
On the Whatfix Studio, click Link.
-
Enter the Link Display Text, Link URL, Tags, and Search keywords.
-
Click Save Link.
View the Link that you just created in the Draft Stage of the Dashboard.

After pushing the Self Help, Task List, and Launcher, along with the links to Production, you can analyze the engagement of end users with the links from different cities, countries, and more, using Product Analytics.
