Whatfix enables you to add a link to an external source of content to be displayed in Self Help, Task List, and Launchers.
The following events can be used to analyze links:
- Link opened
- Link opened in new format
These events appear in the dropdown only if users have performed or engaged with them. As a Whatfix content creator, add the link to the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, and then include it in the widget. Once published, and as end users interact with the link, view the engagement data for the specified events.
-
Analyze the number of users who clicked a particular link added to multiple widgets.
Event name: Link opened
Event filter: Content Title - Name of the link
Event breakdown: Event Trigger Location
-
Analyze the number of users who opened any link from a particular Self Help and group by country.
Event name: Link opened
Event filter: Segment Name - Name of the Self Help segment
User breakdown: Country
Use the following steps to view the analytics of text content using Trend Insights:
- On the Whatfix Analytics dashboard, click Insights.
-
Click + Create insights.
-
Click Trend Insights.
-
To name your Insight, click the Edit icon.
-
Enter a Description that explains the Trend Insight.
- The Description gives you context about the created Insight when added to a Dashboard.
- It also enables stakeholders to understand the data the Insight depicts while viewing Dashboards created by other team members.
- In the Data setup section, select the stage from which you want to get the data.
- For more information on how to get analytics data from different stages, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages.
- You cannot change the stage after creating the insight. Switching to a different stage resets your insight, requiring a restart.
-
Under Events, click Add event.
-
Under Default events, select Link opened or Link opened in new format.
-
Add the required Filter or Breakdown for the event.
For more information on Event Filters and Breakdown, see Filter events using Event Filters and Breakdown in Trend insights.
- In the User filter section, click Add user filter, and then select the desired filter.
- To exclude specific filter values for which you don't require data, see How can I exclude filter values in Product Analytics?
- By default, Product analytics data may contain identified users (identified by User ID) and unidentified users (not identified but denoted by cookie values) users. To filter unidentified users for clearer data, see How can I filter unidentified users in Product Analytics?
-
In the User breakdown section, click Add user breakdown, and then select the desired breakdown.
-
Scroll down to view the generated data chart.
-
Visualize the data using different metrics and chart types.
-
Filter your data based on Daily, Weekly, and Monthly timeframes.
- Click Save.
