Article summary

Embed SharePoint or Microsoft Stream videos to any Pop-up template to deliver additional information to users. Embed the video in the description section. For more information on Whatfix Pop-up templates, see Choose the Pop-up template.

Adding a video embed code in a Pop-up is a 2-step process.

Use the following steps to add a video hosted on SharePoint:

Step 1: Get the video embed code

Note:
  • SharePoint offers two ways to upload videos: Microsoft Stream and the local upload feature. SharePoint does not enable you to share videos that have been locally uploaded outside SharePoint. Only videos uploaded to Microsoft Stream can be uploaded as video content on Whatfix.
  • The end user must have permission to watch the video based on the required permissions set in the video. The video does not load if the user does not have the required permissions. Make the video viewable to everyone in the organization or to individual users based on the video permissions.
  1. Go to the video on Microsoft Stream and open it.
  2. Click Share and then click Embed code from the dropdown to copy the code.
Use embed code of videos from your Microsoft stream account

Use the following steps to insert the video embed code in the Pop-up:

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Widgets.

  2. Click Pop-ups.
