Whatfix Studio Extension
Content creators use the Whatfix Studio extension to create content. Studio extension is easily available on the Chrome Web Store.
Whatfix studio extension requires the following permissions from the content creators:
-
Read and change your data on all websites: Whatfix requires this permission to show Flows, Smart Tips and more so that we understand the HTML structure of the page, and can access the elements where we show the Whatfix Content. We do not read 'data' on these pages, we read the HTML structure to position the Flow steps or Smart Tips. Chrome does not differentiate between HTML contents, structure and data, it considers Page structure as data.
-
Add existing browsing data to managed profiles
This selection permits users to import their current browsing data, including history, bookmarks, saved passwords, and settings, into a managed profile. Managed profiles are separate accounts used for sharing devices or managing multiple users. This ensures a smooth transition, maintaining browsing continuity, and privacy across profiles.
-
Personalise Search based on your history
Synchronize your browsing data, such as history and bookmarks, across multiple devices by enabling sync in settings. Chrome utilizes this data to personalize search results and other services based on the user's browsing history, offering a more tailored online experience.
