There may be scenarios where you have two or more Task List segments configured to show on a single page. Whatfix follows a series of rules to determine which Task List segment gets shown to the end user.
-
Whatfix prioritizes the Task List segment that has a higher number of Visibility Rules configured and displays this Task List segment first. For more information on Visibility Rules, see Configuring visibility rules.
For example, say we have 2 Task Lists:- Task List 1 has 3 Visibility Rules configured, and
- Task List 2 has 4 Visibility Rules configured.
Whatfix displays Task List 2 for your end users first and then displays Task List 1.
-
When the number of Visibility Rules configured are the same in both the Task List segments, then Whatfix displays the Task List segment that was created first. For example, if both Task List 1 and Task List 2 have 3 Visibility Rules each, Whatfix displays Task List 1 first as it was created before Task List 2.
-
Whatfix prioritizes Task List segments that have Task progress enabled.
Once a Task List segment is completed by the end user, it is no longer evaluated by Whatfix. The next highest priority segment is then shown to the end user. This behaviour can be used to show to Task List segments sequentially to our end users.
