Organize Content/Widgets using Folders

Whatfix enables content creators to group content and widgets inside folders for better management. You can group content or widgets that you want to display to users belonging to the same geography, having the same user roles, etc.

  • Folders can be created in all the three stages of the dashboard, i.e., Draft, Ready and Production.
  • You can create up to 3 levels of sub folders inside a folder.
  • The folders are only for the content creators to manage content and won't be visible to the end users.

How to create folders on the Dashboard

Use the following steps to create a folder on the dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix dashboard, and then click Create folder.

  2. On the pop-up, enter the name of the folder.

  • There can be more than one folder with the same name.
  • Any folder that you create is created across all the three stages.
  1. Click Create folder.

  2. Once the folder is created, to add content to the folder, select the content units that you want to add to the folder using the checkboxes.

You can not add the same content in multiple folders.

  1. Click Move to folder.

  2. Select the folder you want to add the content to.

  3. Click Move here.
