Understand the Eligibility Criteria for Personalization

Article summary

Personalization relies on having sufficient data to accurately recommend content to end users. Your account must meet the following criteria to ensure enough data is available to identify personalized content for all end users:

  • A Self Help segment must have been in Production for at least the past 2 months.
  • User Identification must remain enabled for at least the past 2 months.
  • A minimum of 15 users must have interacted with Self Help in the past 3 months.
  • The Self Help widget must have been opened at least 80 times in total in the past 3 months.

Note:

The old Self Help experience will be deprecated after June 2025. If you'd like to enable the Improved Self Help experience earlier, contact support@whatfix.com.

To know whether your account is eligible for Personalization, check your Eligibility status on the Whatfix Guidance dashboard.

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Style.

  2. Click Self Help.

  3. Check your account’s Eligibility status.

Note:
  • The first time your account becomes eligible for Personalization, it is automatically enabled. For more information see Enable or Disable Personalization.
  • If your account fails to meet at least one of the eligibility criteria, it becomes non-eligible for Personalization.
    If your account becomes non-eligible while Personalization is enabled, it will remain enabled, however the relevancy of personalized content may be affected. You can choose to disable it from the Dashboard.

Check eligibility status in Improved Self Help

Improved Self Help is a Beta feature. To enable Improved Self Help on your dashboard, contact support@whatfix.com. Improved Self Help provides an enhanced and revamped end-user experience of the Self Help widget. Once enabled, end users see Improved Self Help instead of the Self Help widget.

Note:
