User Properties are rules or conditions that help you define user behavior so that you can group them into different User Segments to show consolidated and contextual in-app experiences.
Whatfix Mobile has two types of User Properties,
- Default User Property
- Custom User Property
Default User Property
Whatfix Mobile provides in-built User Properties captured by the Whatfix Mobile SDK without any configuration required. These default properties are added to build your predefined User Segments. You can create custom User Segments specific to your app using these default properties.
Use the following steps to access Default User Properties,
-
On the Whatfix Mobile Dashboard, select an app.
-
In the navigation panel, click User Segments.
- Click All user Properties.
The following table explains the Default User Properties,
Default User Property | Description |
---|---|
Last Session | The time captured in hours since the end user last opened the app. This data is tracked from the time the Whatfix SDK is present on the end users' app. |
Total Usage duration | The total time spent by the end user on the app. This data is tracked from the time the Whatfix SDK is present on the end users' app. |
First Session | The time captured in hours since the end user first opened the app. This data is tracked from the time the Whatfix SDK is present on the end users' app. |
First Install | The time captured in hours since the end user first installed the app |
Device Language | The language of the end user's device |

Session count | The number of times the end user opened the app. This data is tracked from the time the Whatfix SDK is present on the end users' app. |
Custom User Property
You can create or define your own User Properties to understand user behavior. You can create these properties to build user segments that are specific to your app.
