Filtering and determining the specific stage to which content belongs is not possible, which hinders accurate insights. The impact of content updates in one stage affects the analysis of content in other stages, further complicating the process.
Whatfix Analytics enables you to filter analytics data based on stages so that you can effectively examine and analyze data related to your desired stages of interest. This CLM-based filtering feature applies to all analytics dashboards, empowering you to gain valuable insights specific to each stage and optimize content management strategies accordingly.
By default, you can only see the data for all content and widgets in the Production stage.
Use the following steps to get analytics data from different stages:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Analytics.
- In the Show data from these stages section, select the stages from which you want to view data.
- You cannot disable the data from Production stage.
- The configuration made here is also reflected in the Whatfix Analytics dashboard.
- If you are using the Javascript mode of deployment to publish Whatfix content, ensure that you select the Ready stage checkbox. Selecting this stage enables you to view the respective analytics data until you embed the Deployment Script in the production instance of your application.
Ready includes data solely from the Ready stage; however, to enable more accurate data collection, it also contains the count of content or widgets in the Draft stage.
Engagement with content generates events for the specific stages in which the content is present. The respective events appear based on the time range of the query and the set stage filter.
-
Content moved from the selected stage displays a Moved badge next to it.
-
Content deleted from the selected stage displays a Deleted badge next to it.
