Manage Custom Translation Tool

Whatfix enables you to edit, delete, and view additional details for the custom Translation tool on the Translation tools page.

After you have added the custom Translation tool, perform the following steps to verify the integration:

Step 1: Activate the custom Translation tool

Once you have entered all the integration details for the custom Translation tool, activate the custom tool to automatically translate Whatfix content using the selected integration.

Note:

Currently, only one Translation tool can be active at a time. By default, Microsoft Azure is the Translation tool if you have not activated any other custom tool. For more information, see Translate Whatfix Content.

Use the following steps to activate the Translation tool:

  1. Click Settings. click_settings(1)

  2. Click Translation tools.

  3. In the Details tab, enable the toggle for the Translation tool.

Step 2: Verify the custom Translation tool

After you activate the tool, verify if the tool is configured correctly.

Prerequisite:

You must add a language before you can verify the custom tool. For more information, see Add a new language for translation.

Use the following steps to verify if the integration is setup correctly:

  1. In the Translation tools page, click the Verify translation tool icon.

  2. In the dialog box, enter some dummy text.


  3. Click Verify.

If the verification is successful, the status column displays a Success badge.


If the verification is unsuccessful, the status column displays a Failure badge. Go to the Activity logs tab to view the reason for the failure and correct the integration accordingly.

Additional actions:

View Activity logs

When the integration fails or succeeds, the Activity logs tab displays the details of the integration run.

Use the following steps to view the details of the run:

  1. Go to the Translation tools page, and then click Activity logs.

  2. Use the dropdown and select the translation tool for which you want to view the logs.

    The Activity logs tab displays the success or failure logs accordingly:

    Based on your requirements, you can perform the following actions:

    Action

    Description

    1. View integration

    Redirects you to the Setup page and enables you to view and change the configuration accordingly.

    1. Refresh logs

    Refreshes the page and loads the latest logs.

    1. Copy logs

    Copies the success or failure logs to your clipboard.

Edit and Delete a Translation Tool

Use the Edit icon to edit the configurations of the translation tool.

Use the Delete icon to delete an integration that you no longer require.
