Artikel-Zusammenfassung

Whatfix enables you to add multiple tabs to organize your Custom Dashboard. A Product Manager may create tabs within an EI Dashboard to compare new user versus active user engagement with Whatfix content across applications. Adding multiple tabs enables efficient organization and navigation of the Custom Dashboard, leading to improved data management and decision-making.

Use the following steps to add a tab in a Dashboard:

  1. On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Dashboards.

  1. Create a new Dashboard or edit an existing one. For more information, see Dashboards for EI.

Note:

A Dashboard must contain at least one widget (Insight or text) before you can add a tab.

  1. Click Add dashboard tab.

  2. Click Add.

    Info:

A new tab is created. The first tab automatically becomes the Default tab.

  3. Enter a Tab name.

  4. Click Create event property filters for this tab.

  5. To filter the events in the Tab, select a filter from the Event property filter dropdown. For a list of all Event property filters, see Filter events using Event Filters and Breakdown in Trend insights.

    Info:

When you create an Event property filter in Whatfix, it filters all the Insights in a Tab based on the selected Event property. For instance, if you have a Custom Dashboard for Flow analytics, create Tabs to filter Flow data by specific properties, such as:

Event Trigger Location: Filters Flows based on where they are triggered.

This enables you to filter all the Insights in the Tab based on the selected Event property filter.

This setup enable you to easily switch between tabs to view detailed data for each Insight. Whatfix also lets you specify which events each filter applies to, ensuring only filters relevant to that events are shown in the Insights. These predefined filters help you quickly access specific, filtered data.

  6. To associate events with the Event property filter, click Select applicable events.

  7. Select the desired events.

  8. Click Apply.

  9. Click Add another to add more Event property filters and related events and repeat Steps 7 to 10.

    Note:

    • Click the Delete icon to delete any Event property filters and related events. Whatfix enables you to add up to 3 Event property filters to a single tab.

    • Whatfix enables you to add up to 10 tabs in a Custom Dashboard. Click Add to create more tabs.

    • Click the More icon, and then click Delete to remove a tab.

  10. Click Save.

A new tab is created with the relevant event property filters and applicable events.

  11. Click Add widget to add Insights or text in the new tab. For more information, see Dashboards for EI.

    Info:

Click Add dashboard tab to create more tabs.

  12. Click Save to save the Dashboard and all the tabs created within the Dashboard.
