What is the difference between Failed and Exited in Whatfix Flow Analytics?

Prev Next

Whatfix Analytics provides information about Flow failures and Flow exits, and it is important to understand the difference between the two.

Flow Failure

A Flow fails when the user is unable to use a Flow to complete a task. Flow failures could be because of the following reasons:

  • Flow is broken
  • Flow Step does not display

For more information, see Flow does not run correctly.

Flow Exit

A Flow exit happens when a user deliberately chooses not to follow the Flow even though it is working correctly.

The following are reasons that can result in a Flow being recorded as an exit:

  • Exited by clicking the 'X' close icon on tooltips.

  • Exited by navigating away: Branching to another Flow, closing the browser, browser tab, internet connectivity issues, system shut down, clicking the hyperlinks in the step description and moving to a new page (URL), and more.

  • Exited by Flow change: Starting another Flow before completing or closing the current Flow.
