Sometimes, the Self Help widget may cover some part of the application that needs to be visible and accessible to your users. To overcome this issue, Whatfix enables you to reposition the Self Help widget to an optimal location.
- Your end users can also change the position of the widget, and Whatfix remembers the new position on the next visit.
- When end users reposition the Self Help widget to another place, other Self Help widgets on other pages or applications are also moved to this new place.
- The Self Help widgets on other pages and applications can be seen in the new position set only in the following two scenarios:
- If end users have the same user role
- If the Self Help widget is present in the same browser
- The Self Help widget is reset to the default position when the browser cache is cleared.
Use the following steps to reposition the Self Help widget:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Style.
-
Click Self Help.
-
In the Appearance section, go to Position, and then change the Self Help widget position as per your requirement.
-
Click Save.
Ensure that you push the changes made to Production so that the latest behavior is reflected for end users.
End users can change the widget position by using the following steps:
i. Click and hold the Self Help widget.
ii. Drag and drop the widget to any of the 12 available positions.
End users cannot change the widget position using the Mobile view.
