Manage Notifications in the Whatfix dashboard

Article Summary

The Notification Center tracks all content and widget movements across Whatfix. Any Whatfix user can access the notification center to see what's changed. These changes include edits made by other users as well.

Changes Tracked

Notifications are sent when the following actions occur:

  • Content is moved from the Draft to the Ready stage or vice versa.
  • Content is pushed to Production or vice versa.
  • Content is deleted at any stage.
  • A version of the content is deleted from the Draft stage.

New Notifications

Use the following step to open the Notification Center:

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Notifications.

    This opens the Notification Center on the dashboard.

A blue dot on the Bell icon indicates a new notification.

Actions that can be performed in the Notification Center

Click the Bell icon to view a list of all the notifications.

  • Mark all as Read: Click the more icon, and then click Mark all as Read to mark all notifications as read.
  • Filter: Displays a dropdown menu where you can filter your notifications by choosing from the following options:
    • Unread only: All the unread notifications are displayed.
    • Push to production: Only the content that has been pushed to Production is displayed.
    • Whatfix upgrades: Notifications regarding available Whatfix Updates are displayed.

Note:

The Whatfix upgrades filter is available only if Whatfix Versioning is enabled for the account.

  • When you hover the cursor over each notification, a more icon is displayed. Click the more icon to open a menu with the following options:
    • Mark as Read/Mark as Unread
    • Delete

  • Unread notifications have a red background color, whereas read notifications have a white background color.

Note:

Only the last 60 days' notifications are displayed in the pop-up.
