Create Walkthrough Menu

Walkthrough Menu is an in-app collection of Walkthroughs that aid users to complete activities or tasks on your mobile app.
You can create and configure your Walkthrough Menu using the following steps:
Step 1: Create a Walkthrough Menu project
Step 2: Capture your Mobile app screens
Step 3: Identify the screen
Step 4: Design the Walkthrough Menu
Step 1: Create a Walkthrough Menu project

On the Whatfix Mobile Dashboard, select the App in which you want to create your project.

To create a new project, click New.
- In the In-App Help section, click Walkthrough Menu.

Enter a name for your project.

Enter the App Version or select the App Version using the dropdown.

- Ensure that you add the correct app version from the app build that was integrated with the Whatfix Mobile SDK.

Click Create.
- Your Walkthrough Menu project gets created and you are redirected to the Whatfix Mobile Studio.
Step 2: Capture your Mobile app screens
You can capture screens as a one-time step using the Whatfix Creator widget. This widget enables you to capture app screens as screenshots and saves them to your Whatfix Mobile Dashboard to create in-app guidance content. It also enables you to preview your projects and test them before publishing.

Use the following steps to add a screen,

On the Identify Screen window, click + Add screen.

Select the screen where you want to create the content and click Add Screen.
Step 3: Identify the screen
After capturing the screen, you need to identify the unique elements on the screen and tag the screen so that the in-app experience you create appears on the right page.

To identify the unique elements on the screen and to tag the right screen, click Add Identifier

Click the desired element on the page.
Example: If you want to show a Walkthrough Menu on the Home screen, you can choose the title Home, which can uniquely identify the screen and show the Walkthrough Menu on the correct screen.
Click Add More to select more elements on the page and then repeat step 2.
Step 4: Design the Walkthrough Menu
You can add Walkthroughs in your Walkthrough Menu.
Use the following steps to design your Walkthrough Menu:

On the Whatfix Mobile Studio, go to the left and select Design.

Click the Flow-1 in the Walkthrough Menu to add and configure your Walkthrough.

Configure the Walkthrough Menu using the following options:
i) You can add a name to your Walkthrough.
ii) To add your Walkthrough in your Walkthrough Menu, copy the Project ID of the Walkthrough project you've created and paste it in the Project ID section.
iii) To connect your Walkthrough to the Walkthrough Menu, click Connect.
your title goes here- The Walkthrough project you add to your Walkthrough Menu should be the same App Version as the Walkthrough Menu
- Once you enter the valid Project ID, the Walkthrough is automatically added to your Walkthrough Menu.
iv) You can rearrange your Walkthroughs, add Walkthroughs, or delete Walkthroughs using the action bar.
v) If you want to add more Walkthroughs, repeat Steps 2 and 3.

Click Edit to add a name to your Walkthrough Menu and change the Font of the Walkthrough Menu. You can also add user property to personalize the experience for your end user.

Click Done.

Configure the following options in Walkthrough Menu:
- Show the Walkthrough Menu in the language of your choice.
- Enable the ICON toggle to enable your end users to start the Walkthrough Menu using an icon. For more information, see Use Icons to start a Walkthrough Menu.
- Define when the Walkthrough should start using the DISCOVERY TRIGGER. For more information, see Use the Discovery Trigger in Walkthrough.
- Select how to terminate your Walkthrough using the FLOW TERMINATION dropdown. For more information, see Flow Termination to dismiss the Walkthrough.
The Walkthrough Menu you create is automatically saved.

You can preview projects on a device before making it live for your end users.

After creating and designing your Project, click Publish to make it live for your end users. For more information on publishing Whatfix Mobile content, see Publish Whatfix Mobile content.
